Google isn’t the only way to access online information. There are many safe and trusted online resources that are suitable for school research projects, online learning, and personal enrichment. Here are some quick links to get you started.
Mango Languages: Mango is the fast, easy, and most effective way to learn to speak a foreign language, even if that foreign language is English.
All CCLS Databases: Chester County Library System provides 30 databases, most of which can be used from home.
POWER Library: Pennsylvania Online World of Electronic Resources (POWER Library) provides access to magazine and newspaper indexes, full-text encyclopedias and almanacs, and an archive of over 50,000 photographs. POWER Teens provides online resources including full-text research e-resources, collections of photographs and documents, the statewide catalog of materials held in libraries throughout Pennsylvania, and Chat with a Librarian. POWER Kids provides safe activities and research for younger students, including BookFlix and TrueFlix. Ebsco has made a special collection of resources for K-8 available for the month of April.
Khan Academy: short how-to videos on a variety of school subjects, including AP courses and test prep.
